Google Maps embed

The Google Maps embed block shows an interactive, scrollable map on your page — useful for a shop location, an event venue, or anywhere you want visitors to find you. Add it from the Content tab: choose Add, then Google Maps embed.

Getting the embed link from Google Maps

This block needs a specific kind of link from Google Maps — not the one you'd normally copy from the address bar or a Share button's "Send a link" option. Here's how to get the right one:

• Open Google Maps and search for or navigate to the place you want to show.
• Select Share, then choose the "Embed a map" tab (not "Send a link").
• Pick a map size, then select Copy HTML.
• Paste what you copied into the block's field back here — pasting the whole snippet is fine, we pull out just the link it needs.

Why a regular Google Maps link doesn't work here

An ordinary Google Maps link — the kind in your browser's address bar, or from Share's "Send a link" option — isn't built to be shown inside another page, so it won't display here. Only the link from the "Embed a map" tab's Copy HTML button is. A short maps.app.goo.gl link (the default when sharing from the Google Maps app) also won't work directly — open it first, then use Share > Embed a map from the full Google Maps site instead.

Updating the map later

To change the location shown, repeat the steps above for the new place and paste the new link into the block — it replaces the old one the next time you publish.
