Creating your page

Signing up for strands is a single form: your email, a password, and the username you want — all in one step. After you submit it, we email you a confirmation code; enter that code and your account is created and your username is claimed in the same flow.

Your username becomes your profile’s address once you publish: it’s served at that username as a subdomain (for example, yourname.strands.io). Nobody else can claim the same username while you hold it.

What a "page" is

Every profile has at least one page, and you can add up to ten. Each page has its own title and its own ordered list of content blocks — a link button, a heading, an embedded video, and so on.

Multiple pages don’t create multiple URLs. Your profile still lives at one address; visitors switch between your pages with a button on the page itself. See "Multiple pages" in Features for more on how that works.

Where to go next

Once you’re signed in, the admin area has three main sections for editing your page: Content (your blocks, display name, bio, and avatar), Links (your link destinations), and Design (colors, buttons, and typography). Start with Content to add your first blocks.
